Business Cards - History of Advertising

The business cards „history of advertising“ shouldn’t be just a tool to swap contact details. The goal of this project was to create business cards that entertain and impress our customers. The business cards should also be responsible for a good start in an interesting conversation.
We were inspired by the cigarette cards from the 1950s. These cards were placed in packs of cigarettes to offer the customers images and informations to study, share and collect. Topics of these cards were famous baseball-players, scientific facts or inventions.
Fitting to our agency our business cards are all about advertising, strictly speaking about advertising throughout history.
With real illustrations and lithographs from the beginning to the middle of the 20th Century, shared from the New York Public Library and the Metropolitan Museum of Arts, the business cards give an amazing impression and offer an added value.
Printed on 400g / sqm thick softtouch-paper,  refined with an embossed gold foil the business cards deliver nice optics & haptics and create the feel of a real valency, which invites to keep the cards after the first contact.
All in all a real piece of advertising-history for the wallets of the recipients.
